Access to Motor Vehicle Register Information (Section 241 Land Transport Act 1998) Beneficial Insurance Limited is authorised by the New Zealand Transport Agency to access names and addresses of persons registered in respect of motor vehicles and information on those vehicles as recorded in the Registrar of Motor Vehicles, in accordance with section 241 of the Land Transport Act 1998.Beneficial Insurance Limited advises that the name and address of persons who have either applied for insurance with Motorlife or have purchased an insurance policy through Motorlife may be obtained from the Registrar of Motor Vehicles in accordance with section 241 of the Land Transport Act 1998. Beneficial Insurance Limited will only access this information for the following purposes: • when assessing an application to provide an insurance policy in relation to a motor vehicle, to ensure the applicant is the registered person of that motor vehicle; or• when verifying entitlement to make a claim or receive a payment under an insurance policy that applies to a motor vehicle, to ensure the registered person of that vehicle is the person to which that insurance policy applies.
